We took a trip to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina for a family reunion with Grandma Suze's family.
It was awesome and amazing!
We loved every minute of it!
We flew out of Vegas, so first stop was Bass Pro Shop. It is a pretty cool store and of course Jake's favorite!
There is a very cool aquarium with tons of stingrays in it. There is also a lady that swims around dressed as a mermaid. She takes quick puffs on an air hose, then she will pose for pictures and wave at the kids. My camera was in the car when she was out!
We flew into Raleigh, NC then drove to Ocean Isle Beach for 5 wonderful days!
We were all so anxious to get there!
The beach was beautiful! Soft white sand and warm water!
There were tons of crabs in the sand! We had to watch out step!

Welcome home! Did you get a nice tan? I'm jealous that you got to have a nice get-away. That's the luxury of your job...summer off. If only I loved smelly second-graders enough to be a teacher then I could have summers off, too. We need to get together for lunch!
I'm glad SOMEONE is getting some traveling in! I am having a hard time considering heading up to Cedar City tomorrow! I have a fussy new baby now and the thought of traveling scares me! Smell some extra sea air for me on your next trip!
I have always wanted to visit that beach there. It looks like so much fun! I am glad that you got to go on a vacation.
That looks like such a fun vacation!!! When I picture North Carolina, I don't really think of beaches. Isn't that funny? Anyway, I'm glad you are having a great summer because it will end way, way, way too soon! :(
